Nach Jahren in der Film- und TV-Produktion als 1st AD und Producer, einem Master in Film- und TV-Management arbeitete Germar Tetzlaff bis 2004 bei New Line Cinema und HBO Films in London und Los Angeles in den Bereichen Acquisitions und Marketing.
Von 2005 bis 2020 war er bei Twentieth Century Fox of Germany als Head of Local Productions, Acquisitions und Marketing Local Productions tätig. Seit 2021 ist er als Director Local Productions and Acquisitions GSA bei Paramount Pictures Germany für alle deutschsprachigen Kinoproduktionen zuständig.
