Teresa Hoefert de Turégano is a Funding Executive at the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg (Germany). She is mainly responsible for international co-productions (fiction and doc) and experimental projects. She also manages the DE-TR coproduction development fund as well the BerlinAiR (Artist-in-Residency) programmes, with 10 international partnerships.
She has both academic and professional experience in the European film milieu. She taught cinema at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland and has worked for both Eurimages (the European cinematographic co-production fund) and the European Audiovisual Observatory at the Council of Europe.
In addition to her responsibilities at the Medienboard she works as a consultant on film and cultural policy, also with respect to the global South. She has also evaluated projects for the EU-Creative Europe Media Programme, the EU-ACP film fund, etc. Her publications include a book and numerous articles on various subjects related to film and the politics of cinema.
