MEDIENBOARD BERLIN-BRANDENBURG is the main institution for the film and media industry in the German capital region, represents Berlin-Brandenburg as a key media location at markets and festivals in Germany and abroad and supports cross-border and cross-industry networking.
The FILM FUNDING division provides funding for innovative audiovisual projects (e.g. games, multiplatform content, virtual and augmented reality) and serial formats (fiction, entertainment and factual). Furthermore, MEDIENBOARD BERLIN-BRANDENBURG provides funding for regional-related projects and events such as prizes, competitions, events and conferences.
Possibilities for funding co-productions
MEDIENBOARD BERLIN-BRANDENBURG supports development, production and distribution (German cinema releases) for national and international films. The application must be made by a German-based producer and minimum 100% of the funding must be spent in the region. Funding can be combined with any other national or international funding.
