After a bachelor degree in dramatic arts, Florencia Gil started her career as theatre director and producer in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Her first works include the direction of the stage play “Closer”, by Patrick Marber, the social project “Fabricas de Cultura” (theatre in the favelas) and the production managing of Rafinha Bastos, acclaimed Brazilian multimedia artist who accumulates over 80 million views on youtube. In 2010 she followed UCLA’s Professional Program in Film Producing and worked at Sao Paulo’s International Film Festival. Living in Paris since 2011, she followed a Master Program in Culture and Medias in Paris 8 University, where she developed a professional project about independent film distribution. In 2012 she worked in the international acquisitions department of the world sales and distribution company Rezo Films.
