After studying philosophy (University of Hamburg) and completing a master in documentary filmmaking and the production of sound documentaries (University of Poitiers) Jonas decided to go to the middle east to get to know the political situation and to make films. At the beginning he worked as a volunteer for the project Cinema Jenin then as the project coordinator of the mobile library of the French-German Cultural Center Ramallah. At that time he founded "Places & Stories Production" and is now working as a producer, director, camera man, sound engineer and editor on several film projects especially in Palestine/Israel.
