A dark house guarded by heavy locks and large gates. Luise, a hefty woman, lives in the house with her guests, who circle around her like demons. Johann, a time-worn man who has lost his joie de vivre, lives in the midst of them. Does he really live in this strange company? Does it not live in him? Have they built a prison for him? Has he built it himself? To find out, Johann has to flee. But Luise keeps the key to his prison carefully guarded, on a chain around her neck...
