Hanna just isn’t cool. She’s right at the bottom of the pecking order in her class. At the top of the pile is Abdul, who makes a stylish couple with pretty Anne. But Hanna’s tired of being dissed by Abdul and his mate Faris. She confronts Abdul, claiming she’s pregnant. The two of them bond through this faked crisis. Each of them gains a brief glimpse of the other’s life.
However this harmony is shattered when Anne, green with jealousy, reveals the lie. Although Abdul and Hanna have grown closer, Abdul has to teach Hanna a lesson if he doesn’t want to risk his position as top dog in the class. Abdul’s revenge is harsh but the blows do not destroy the ties of affection between the two. On the contrary: the extreme violence Hanna goes through ends up revealing her strength of character, helping her to gain acceptance from the class and develop self-respect.
