Jamila Wenske was born in 1975 and grew up in Berlin. She studied production at the Film University HFF “Konrad Wolf” in Babelsberg. In 2005, she won the Silver Bear at the Berlinale with her short film JAM SESSION. After she had graduated in 2005 with the feature length movie CHILDREN OF THE MOON, which won 2006 the prestigous Max Ophuels Audience Award awarded, she post-graduated at the German-French Masterclass for European producers in Paris and Ludwigsburg. Jamila has been the production manager for large feature films, including Hans-Christian Schmid’s international co-production STORM, which premiered in competition at the Berlinale in 2009 and was awarded with 3 LOLAs or Geraldine Bajard’s LA LISIERE (THE EDGE), which had its world premiere in Locarno 2010. In October 2010 Jamila Wenske founded together with Sol Bondy and Christoph Lange One Two Films in Berlin and Bremen.

In 2014, Jamila was selected for the Ateliers du Cinéma Européen program. In 2017 she was invited with her feature film project HELLO MY FRIEND to EAVE PUENTES. Jamila is member of the ACE Producers Network and the European Film Academy.
