Jungle tells the story of 16-year-old Jen, who lives with her mother and stepfather in a suburban city near Paris. In an environment of asphalt and concrete, she tries to escape from her gloomy teenage years by seeking refuge in the nature around her, a distant memory of her father, who is now long gone from her life. As she wanders in a numb state through her everyday life – family, friends and basketball – she starts to realize, that the plants cannot fulfill her desire for happiness, and act in fact as a poisonous substitute. In the end though, she will find the strength to take action, and give her life a new direction to an exciting future.
