Francis doesn’t have high hopes for the Christmas holidays. He’s spending Christmas Eve alone in his flat with just his cat and an album by French rock star Johnny Hallyday for company. However, out of the blue a power cut knocks out all the electricity in Paris and the lights go out everywhere - except in Francis' flat. Attracted by the light, everyone in the neighbourhood is soon shoving their way into his flat. Francis resolves to throw them all out, but then a beautiful woman appears at his door.
