My name is Inga von Staden. I work as a media architect, educator and coach for the creative industries. Among other, I direct the four-year-studies programme Interactive Media at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg (www.filmakademie.de) training students to develop and produce interactive applications and transmedial content. My current research topic is the essence of creativity, creative processes in teams and how we can foster the kind of creativity it needs to ensure the future of our planet and society. It was under that premise, I set up the TINKERTANK summercamp for kids aged 9-11 years (http://tinkertank.de/). Furthermore I am an assessor for software-based media projects with the funding programme PROfit of the Investionsbank Berlin (www.investionsbank.de) and a curator for the FMX, the International Conference on Animation, Effects, Games and Transmedia (www.fmx.com).
I studied Agricultural Science in Jerusalem, learned Television in Frankfurt and professionalized in film in New York. 1995 I migrated from film and TV into software-based media holding a wide range of jobs as author, content designer and creative producer for games, Internet platforms and mobile applications. In 1997 I began lecturing on New Media and in 1999 I set up projectscope (www.projectscope.de), a media consultancy. After founding and directing the European MEDIA funded programme, the academy of converging media (www.academy-of-converging-media.com) at the Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie, Berlin in 2001, I joined the regional media council, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg (www.medienboard.de) to coordinate their activities in support of the new media sectors until 2007. In 2009 I trained to become a certified coach with the South African College of Applied Psychology (www.sacap.edu.za).
